Ever since I was four years old I wanted to play pool, but I didn't really get started until I was six. Since I was under age, I was constantly thrown out of the poolroom. It wasn't until I was fourteen, and moved to Dallas, that I really learned to play. By the time I was seventeen, I was one of the best players in Texas. That gave me the opportunity to travel with Eddie Taylor and U. J. Pucket on the road. I also met and played with many other players of that era like Marcel Camp, Glen Womack, Junior Goff, Hubert Cokes, Fatty, and many others. These players were always ready to share their knowledge of one_pocket with a young player. For a small price of course. Much of what I learned from these great players is included in my one-pocket section for you enjoyment.
